Choosing Office Chairs

Choosing Office Chairs

Your back requires support that's right for you. An adjustable lumbar support helps maintain the natural curve of your spine, which allows blood flow to the discs in your spine. Find chairs that work with the body, maintaining the alignment of your spine for a healthier posture and improved lower back comfort.

The chair should allow you to sit comfortably with your feet flat on the floor, with your knees at a 90 degree angle.

Your shoulders should rest at a comfortable position when you are working. This is important if you are typing for a large portion of your day. They should be adjustable for different users and activities.

The backrest should support the natural curve of your spine, providing support in the lower back. It should be high enough to support your shoulders and neck, while allowing for movement for reaching when you are sitting.

The seat should provide comfortable support to your hips and behind, and should measure from your back to 2-4 inches from the back of your knees.
