Electrostatic painting

Do you know what electro static painting is? Prose uses this application when it works on updating or refurbishing furniture.  Here is a bit about what this is:

Electrostatic coating is a manufacturing process that employs charged particles to more efficiently paint a workpiece. Paint, in the form of either powdered particles or atomized liquid, is initially projected towards a conductive workpiece using normal spraying methods, and is then accelerated toward the work piece by a powerful electrostatic charge.[1]
An addition to the electrostatic coating (or e-coating) process is dipping electrically conductive parts into a tank of paint that is then electrostatically charged. The ionic bond of the paint to the metal creates the paint coating, in which its thickness is directly proportional to the length of time the parts are left in the tank and the time the charge remains active. Once the parts are removed from the paint tank, they are rinsed off to remove any residual paint that is not ionically bonded, leaving a thin film of electrostatically bonded paint on the surface of the part.

Process characteristics

  • Uses a high voltage electrostatic charge which is applied to both the workpiece and the sprayer mechanism
  • Uses 95% of sprayed paint due to reduced over-spray and better wrap-around
  • Paint materials can be either powdered or liquid
  • Process can be either automatic or manual
  • Workpieces must be conductive
  • Workpieces are usually baked after coated
  • The baked on paint adheres extremely well and is difficult to remove without aggressive means of removal.
Prose uses these techniques and more to produce the best quality look and feel. Call Lucas at (913) 441-4499for more details.

Choosing Office Chairs

Choosing Office Chairs

Your back requires support that's right for you. An adjustable lumbar support helps maintain the natural curve of your spine, which allows blood flow to the discs in your spine. Find chairs that work with the body, maintaining the alignment of your spine for a healthier posture and improved lower back comfort.

The chair should allow you to sit comfortably with your feet flat on the floor, with your knees at a 90 degree angle.

Your shoulders should rest at a comfortable position when you are working. This is important if you are typing for a large portion of your day. They should be adjustable for different users and activities.

The backrest should support the natural curve of your spine, providing support in the lower back. It should be high enough to support your shoulders and neck, while allowing for movement for reaching when you are sitting.

The seat should provide comfortable support to your hips and behind, and should measure from your back to 2-4 inches from the back of your knees.

Decorating and Lighting a Business Lobby

The lobby creates the first impression when entering an office, hotel, etc. It’s also the last space you see, so it be memorable. Here are a few points to take into consideration.
Because the lobby is also often the waiting area, it’s important for these spaces to be inviting and comfortable so the furniture needs to be chosen accordingly. Whether you’re o...pting for chairs, sofas, ottomans or couches, keep comfort in mind when choosing the design. The whole arrangement can be similar to the structure of a sitting area or living room.
The colors you use on the walls of a lobby can either make or break the space. Since this is the room that greets people when they first enter the space, the color palette should include welcoming tones. For a minimalist décor you can choose a combination of neutrals like white or ivory and bold touches of color. You can also add color using wall paintings or accessories such as clocks.
The lighting should be a combination of different types of fixtures. You can include floor and table lamps remember to illuminate all the different zones that make up the lobby.
Pay attention to the architecture of the space. For example, a lobby with high ceilings can feature a sculptural design that draws attention to the area above while a space with low ceilings can impress in other ways, like with an interesting design that wraps around the room.
